For four days, the Marcali Művelődési és Szabadidő Központ, the Marcali Múzeum, the Berzsenyi Dániel Városiu Könyvtár, and the TársasBázis community welcomed visitors to the 3rd Marcali Board Game Exhibition and Fair.
This year’s program focused on board games inspired by Japanese culture or created by Japanese designers. In addition to the games on display, the event featured an art exhibition, guided tours, a second-hand board game market, and several game sessions led by experienced game masters.
The city library joined the program with a “Japanese shelf,” Kamishibai storytelling performances, and a Kokeshi doll painting workshop. The Marcali Múzeum contributed with interactive painting and origami activities.
During the event, the Korzó Café was decorated with Japanese ornaments and offered a selection of Asian soups and sweets, delighting fans of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese flavors.
The exhibition also showcased Japanese-inspired paintings by three local artists: Erika Király, Mihály Szuharevszki, and János Virág.
The TársasBázis community would like to thank the following institutions, publishers, and individuals for their generous support, without which the event could not have taken place: Beáta Babainé Mikó, Heldbergs Games (special thanks to Artur Koch), Itten Games (special thanks to Tomomi Adachi), Joan Guardiet,.Korzó Kávézó, Marcali Berzsenyi Dániel Városi Könyvtár, Marcali Múzeum, Marcali Művelődési és Szabadidő Központ
